Another tid bit from that Rutger’s University study.  Three things seniors often suffer from are depression, memory loss, and loneliness.  What does that have to do with flowers?

The study from Rutger’s University pointed out three significant affects flowers have on people.

  • Similar to the last post, flowers promote happiness.  Especially with Winter around the corner, pick up some flowers and make Grandma happy!
  • Flowers enhance recent memory.  This isn’t going to cure any diseases or anything, but the study showed that in the presence of flowers, seniors performed higher on daily tasks and experienced enhanced personal memories.
  • Flowers Promote Companionship.  Seniors that received flowers were more likely to be social and engage their neighbors.

What a blessing flowers are.  Seriously.  That’s no sales pitch.  Again, I’ve been in the flowers business my whole life.  The impact these beautiful creations can have on us is much greater than you would have ever assumed.  So go now and get your Grandma some flowers!
