We want to make this Valentine’s Day something special for someone out there.  This year we are running a contest where you can win a dozen roses every month for the rest of 2010! (Local contest only)

Rules: Submit what you did for your significant other or your significant other did for you on Valentine’s Day to make it special.  Leave out any of the risque details, after all, this is a rated G website.  The person with the most original and creative experience will win.

Submission: We will accept submissions for one week after Valentine’s Day, that is, February 14th through February 21st. If you’d like we will keep your stories private/anonymous for those that may be a bit shy.  BE SURE TO TELL YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS ABOUT THIS in case it’s their year to throw something together for Valentine’s Day!

PRIZE: Win a dozen roses delivered every month to your home or office for the remainder of 2010.  Prize can be delivered anywhere but only in the Greater Des Moines area (includes Ankeny, Altoona and Pleasant Hill) To submit your story you can either email it to us here or fill out the form below.  We will contact the winners either via phone or email depending on your preference.

Well, we finished our week long ugliest plant contest and we have our winner.  Congratulations to @kmracek for the ugliest plant.  You’ve won a $75 plant of your choice.  Come on in to our Beaverdale location and let us help you figure out how to replace that old thing.

Hey All -

Okay.  So we’re running a really fun contest that will run from Friday November 13th through Friday November 20th.  That gives you a full week to find the ugliest plant possible.  The winner of this contest will get a free plant up to $75 in value. Here’s how it will work:

Find your plant and take a picture of it get it to us in one of three ways:

• You can email it to us at steve@createwowmedia.com
• Send us the picture via Twitter.  You can use twitpic if you’d like or any other service, just be sure to @boesenflorist in your tweet.
• Upload it on our Facebook fanpage and add your name in the comment box.  You can become a fan here.

Like I said, we’ll be accepting all pictures between 11/13 and 11/20.  Once all pictures have been submitted we will post them online and YOU get to vote on the winner.  We will have our designers vote as well on which they feel is the ugliest plant.  Just like one of your favorite shows, our designers vote will count as half and your as the other half.

You will have all weekend (11/21 & 11/22) to vote for the ugliest plant and that following Monday (11/22) we will announce the winner.

Okay.  We’ve got some flowers we are going to give away this Monday to a nursing home in the Des Moines area.  Saturday and Sunday nominate any nursing home you’d like to receive these flowers and on Monday AM we’ll have a drawing to deliver them.  Help us out and nominate a nursing home via Twitter or email us here.
