Importance of Planning
A perfect wedding exists in the hearts and minds of the bride and groom. Of course, there is no such thing as perfect, but that shouldn’t stop you from planning for perfect. Planning a wedding requires loving communication between bride and groom. What are each of their expectations? Are their family (or new) customs they want included? This is a great time to create a strong bond as a couple. Sometimes the planning is more important than the plan itself.
Start Early
Start your planning early. Choosing to do things at the last minute can be disastrous. With a wedding, even two months before the wedding is last minute. If possible, allow yourself at least six months before your wedding date, giving you ample time to get everything you need for your big day.
What Comes First?
Some say your guests determine your budget. Others vice-versa. Either way, the first two steps, while possibly interchangeable, should be your budget and your guest list. In both cases, consider extras and excesses. You may find you forgot a few people on the original invites. You may also find that you have unnecessary costs that need to be shaved. Plan for these contingencies ahead of time.
