I was reading an article this morning on PR.com about the use of money this holiday season. Capital One Financial Corporation came out with a study a few days ago about how money and spending affect people during the holiday season and the effects are not very positive.
“‘For many people, holiday spending touches on other issues. They may be paying off social debts, compensating for something or competing for love and acceptance. Although spending more doesn’t change relationships or satisfy emotional needs, people frequently think paying more will make a difference,’ says Syble Solomon, president of LifeWise and creator of Money Habitudes™”
It’s so true. Money is always an issue for many families but the Holidays can make it the worst. One idea they had though, in my opinion, was fantastic.
“Gifts That Keep Giving. Giving a favorite aunt a small bouquet of flowers every month may be appreciated more than one big, expensive flower arrangement.”
Flowers bring out the best in people’s attitudes. We have hundreds of designs we can put together for you to bring out a smile in your spouse, cheer up your parents, or brighten up the home of your neighbor. The great thing is, they don’t have to be expensive. You have so many opportunities to get deals on flowers through Boesen.
- For delivery in Des Moines we match ANY price from 1800flowers, Teleflora, FTD, ProFlowers, or any of these big “marketing” firms that don’t even own floral shops! How can we do this? We’ll be the ones delivering them anyways.
- Every Friday is a buy two stems for the price of one! Put your own arrangement’s together to give to your friends. This is a price no one can beat.
- Any of our followers on Twitter or fans on Facebook know we have deals non-stop for our online friends. Join us on these networks and check out our blog to find special deals.
These are just a few ways of saving money and giving someone happiness this holiday season. Don’t break the bank on gifts because, frankly, they won’t be as impactful anyways. The way they feel from flowers will be.
